About
I direct new theatre and performance.
I often co-direct and lead devising processes.
I also collaborate on projects led by other artists as a co-director, dramaturg, outside-eye or in a combination of those roles.

I work across forms, methods and styles, from text-led projects to installation, and performances inflected by visual-art, butoh and clown. I've made work in many different contexts, from the RSC to the RVT, Shunt Lounge and the Jerwood Theatre Upstairs at the Royal Court.

I am also a writer and a researcher, with a PhD from Queen Mary, University of London. My research has thought about how theatre troubles authorship and the emotional landscapes of late-individualism.

I'm currently building partnerships to support a new multi-form project. RECOVERY/ DISCONNECT aims to combine a series of creative works with mental health activism and research to think about co-dependency, emotional autonomy and the importance of psychic solitude.

In a digital age - when it is increasingly normal to be plugged in, 24-hour-a-day, to the play of many other people's minds and moods - how do we anchor, each to ourselves?
What happens if we don't?
